{ ABOUT THIS PROJECT }
New York based Wrapaholics, a Company specializing in gift wrapping, cards, and stationery, licensed "The Winter Forest" from my pattern portfolio on a non-exclusive basis for the creation of wrapping paper. Seeking to expand the collection, they requested additional designs to complement the existing hero pattern, requesting simpler yet impactful designs.
The flagship pattern, a holiday Toile de Jouy, captures idyllic cottage scenes with a whimsical winter forest ambiance. Designed to evoke a festive atmosphere, it features snow-clad cottages nestled among fir trees, with elements such as footprints in the snow, gift-laden sleighs, and appearances by fawns and stags, weaving a captivating narrative.
The accompanying supplementary designs incorporate stag antler motifs along with a forest landscape adorned with snow and footprints, evoking the sense of a wintry adventure.
Furthermore, the client obtained licenses for some individual elements, extending their use to various gift and stationery items.
{ ARTWORK CREATION }
All artwork was drawn as separate elements in Procreate on iPad.
The hero pattern is a complex half-drop repeat design.
All patterns were constructed using Adobe Photoshop.
Certain elements, such as the stag and fawn, were vectorized for scalability using Affinity Designer for iPad and Adobe Illustrator, ensuring adaptability for diverse projects.

The pattern artwork and elements were supplied to the client in high-resolution PNG format, featuring black line work with a transparent background. This format allows for the artwork to be placed on any color background and the line work to be recolored, meaning designs can be modified to suit a specific aesthetic preferences and/or product requirement.
